Overview
The second one is the one that counts
Echo Grove is a Century Communities neighborhood on Oak Hollow Way in Cumming, Georgia, in Forsyth County. It opened in June 2026 with estate-sized homesites, walking trails, and a playground, zoned for the Forsyth County School District.
This is the second CBU and cover package Mitchell Metals has delivered for the Century Communities Atlanta Division. Anyone can win a first project. The second one means the first crew showed up when they said they would, the submittal cleared without a fight, and nobody had to chase us at closeout. That’s the part we’re proud of.
Two structures, one visual language
Echo Grove needed a covered mail center and a covered bus stop. Those are different problems — one holds cluster boxes and has to satisfy USPS and ADA, the other shelters kids waiting on a school bus — but in a neighborhood they read as a pair. Handled by two vendors they usually don’t match: different bronzes, different post profiles, different rooflines, sitting a few hundred feet apart where everyone sees both.
We built them as a set. Same Dark Bronze finish, same 4×6 posts and beams, same roof detail. Drive through Echo Grove and the mail center and the bus stop look like they were designed together, because they were.
Why the bus stop cover matters here
Echo Grove is zoned for a school district families move for. A covered bus stop is a small structure with an outsized signal: it says the developer thought about the morning routine, not just the floor plans. It keeps kids out of the rain in a part of Georgia that gets plenty of it, and it gives the neighborhood a second piece of permanent, well-built infrastructure that shows up in every listing photo and every model-home tour.
Both structures are extruded aluminum, so nothing on either one rusts. Both are engineered to ASCE 7-16 wind and snow loads and designed to meet ADA and IBC requirements, with the mail center laid out to the USPS Builders/Developers Guide.

Why these specs were chosen
Standard configuration, 3-box. Echo Grove is an estate-homesite community with a lower door count than a high-density development. A single bank of boxes in a standard configuration serves it without over-building the pad or the structure.
4×6 posts and beams. Sized to the two structures’ spans. Lighter than the 6×6 profile used on larger back-to-back mail centers, and correct for canopies of this footprint — the point is the right section for the load, not the biggest one available.
Dark Bronze on both. The single most important decision on this project. Matching the finish across the mail center and the bus stop is what makes them read as neighborhood architecture instead of two unrelated purchases.
One vendor, both structures. Same submittal, same crew, same schedule — and a guarantee the two pieces actually match, which is the thing that goes wrong when a mail cover and a bus shelter are bought separately.
