Oak Vista Standard CBU & Mail Kiosk Cover

Mitchell Metals supplied and installed a 7′ 6″ x 12′ 2″ standard CBU mail kiosk cover at Oak Vista in Knoxville, Tennessee, for the D.R. Horton Knoxville Division. The structure is Bronze on 4×6 extruded aluminum posts and beams, with a 3-box capacity delivered turnkey.
The fifth D.R. Horton division
Oak Vista is a D.R. Horton community on Georgia Light Road in Knoxville, Tennessee, in Knox County. It is a compact community, and the mail center is sized to it: three cluster box units under a twelve-foot standard cover.
Five divisions, one supplier
Mitchell Metals now works with D.R. Horton across five divisions — Greensboro, North-East Tennessee, Knoxville, Atlanta and Birmingham. Those are separate operations with separate purchasing, and each one made its own decision to use us. A national builder does not have a single approved-supplier list that solves this; it has division managers who talk to each other.
What travels between divisions is not a contract, it is a reputation for the structure arriving on the date it was promised and fitting the pad that was poured for it. That is a dull thing to be known for and it is the only thing worth being known for.
Small community, same standard
A three-box cover is a modest order. It gets the same pre-engineered system, the same extruded aluminum, the same ASCE 7-16 engineering and the same Bronze finish as a thirty-two-box job. There is no economy version — the product line does not have one, which is what makes the specification portable from one division to the next.
Supplied turnkey — cover and cluster box units together. The frame is extruded aluminum, so nothing rusts. It is designed to meet ADA and IBC requirements, with cluster box placement following the USPS Builders/Developers Guide.
